The best day of grade 5

Today in grade 5 we went to the water park which was in Jurong. It was awesome and I really enjoyed it. I think these are a few things you might want to know about.

Firstly the positive thing which was we got to go on every single ride. Oh and all the rides especially the lazy river were really cool and I have never been so fascinated. That was the plus for me.

Secondly the negative which was we had to come back to school. I seriously wish we could stay for longer! That was my minus.

Thirdly the interesting part which was I was in water yet I got dehydrated, thats actually really cool. That was the interesting part.

Things I did!!!

• Go on the slides
• Laze in the lazy river
• Swim with the wave in the wave pool 
• Play in the water playground
• Enjoyed the water park

It was awesome!

 

Visual Literacy Part 1

The way the camera man shot the video is amazing! He used all the techniques and the small things 

like the way the lamps head was down made a difference.

Intergrated Activity Day

We had 10 dollars, one day and had a plan. My group created chocolate chip cookies because we thought that it was an easy mixture to do and everyone would like it. My group member's are Nandita, Mateo, Simon, and me.

I enjoyed a lot of things and these are a few. The fact and that we went to the supermarket and bought things by ourselves. I felt like a grown up, calculating and finding everything in the supermarket. The experience of baking without adults telling us what to do, or them correcting us if we made a mistake.

Next time I will try to get more involved with the cooking and try to eat less cookies!

An interesting thing I noticed is that everything we did was self-directed. We all didn't wait for someone to tell us something. We all did it ourselves!

Science cookies

Science Center

Today we went to the Science Center and it was really cool. There was an Animal Center and I actually got to see a new born chick that hatched that very day,  though I didn't see the hatching process. There was also a lot of learning but fun expirements in the Science Center! This is the bit where we learnt about candy! The candy process was really tied with our mixtures and soulotions topic. We made lolipops and cottencandy which used a lot of ingrediants(mainly the lolipop). Not to be boasting but our cottencandy and lolipops tasted really, extremly yummy, and after that I felt like I could make any candy in the world! We also learnt a few infering agents like geletin, honey, corn syrup and loads more! That was something I didn't know at all. There was also an imax movie that was actually a little scary and kinda creepy, but eventually I got used to it and relaxed. The movie was called "The Limit." It was about your bodies have limits and your bodies. It was the coolest imax movie I had ever seen!

Art

Hey everyone, I'd like you to know that in art class we did zen doodling. Zen doodling is mainly about doodling and blending. I really enjoyed this and would like you to try it!

Our composition

Hi, my teammates, Isabella and Jamie, and me made a composition! We were set to make our own composition of the gamalon. We had worked there for some time so we new how to write our own composition!
